With a quarter of a rotation, the valve can be opened or closed. The electronic version of the Swiss Eco Tap for public areas is currently in development and will be available in 2014/2015.

Can there occur problems with strongly calcareous or polluted water?

Since the Swiss Eco Tap works only with cold water, there are hardly any problems with lime. Should there still be dirt, the spray technique can be easily disassembled with the tool which is delivered with the Swiss Eco Tap, and cleaned with vinegar. For heavy pollution, a new spray can be ordered as a spare part.
